Beattock Free Range is nestled on the winding banks of the beautiful River Deveron, where fresh air, flowing water, and plenty of green space set the scene for happy hens and great eggs. The farm sits just 3km from our Fortrie Packing Centre, keeping food miles to a minimum.
Our hens enjoy an impressive range that includes 10 acres of mature woodland, alongside newly planted areas featuring over 1,800 trees and 360 metres of hedgerows. This nature-led range isn’t just for show, it provides natural shelter, shade, and curiosity-sparking spaces that encourage our hens to roam, scratch, and behave exactly as hens should.
Shelters are dotted across the range, offering plenty of places to perch, potter, and take cover, come rain or shine.
Good eggs should tread lightly on the planet too. That’s why the site is fitted with 150kW of solar panels, generating clean, renewable energy right on the farm. From henhouse to the egg packing room, Beattock Free Range is powered with sustainability in mind, proving that happy hens and a lighter footprint can go hand in hand.
