Whisky Sour

Method

Step 1

Chill two glasses.

 

Step 2

In a cocktail shaker, add the whisky, lemon juice, simple syrup, spices and Duncan's Egg white.


Step 3

Dry shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to build the foam.


Step 4

Add ice and shake again until well chilled.


Step 5

Strain into the two glasses.

 

Step 6 

Add 1 dash of bitters to each drink and swirl lightly for a marbled effect.

 

Step 7

Garnish with a twist of orange peel, dusting of cinnamon, or a cherry.
 

Ingredients

  • 100ml whisky
  • 50ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 50ml maple syrup
  • 1 Duncan's Egg white
  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Orange peel to garnish
